PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous hot rolling method and a continuous hot rolling machine suitable for the cost effective manufacturing of a hot-rolled steel plate of fine grained steel. SOLUTION: As a heated plate P is rolled so as to be pressed at the cumulative contortion of 0.6 or more with multiple stands of mills F1-F6 arranged on a tandem, the heated plate is cooled with a curtain wall cooler 7 at the outlet side of the mills F4-F6 of the three rearside stands.
