The machine (1) includes a reel of material for the lower planting net, a reel of material for the upper planting net, a first tensioning device for paying out the lower planting net material under tension along the bottom of the net support, a second tensioning device for paying out the upper planting net material under tension along the top of the net support and a device for joining the upper and lower planting nets together. The mobile machine is used to plant bulbs (3) in the ground (12) underneath a tubular planting net and includes a bulb storage space (3) connected to a distributor device (5, 6), a guide (7) for transferring the bulbs from the distributor device to the ground and a cuff-shaped net support, the planting net being laid on top of this support. The guide device extends partly into the net support.
