PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top plate for a Kotatsu (foot warmer for Japanese room), which can store articles frequently used in daily life and enables a user to take out a desired article as sitting down. SOLUTION: Corner blocks 4 are placed in four corners between an upper plate 2 and a base 3 and integrally formed. A mount plate 7 rotatable around a shaft 5 as the pivot is equipped as an article storage part 20 between the upper plate 2 and the base 3 and drawers 10, 11 are placed in the mount plate 7. A user can operate drawers 10, 11 from opening parts 6 on sides 16 of the top plate 1. Thus a user can store articles in any side 16 and easily take out a desired article stored in a drawer as he/she is sitting down.
