PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sorting and collecting cosmetic materials capable of facilitating the separation of cosmetic wastes comprising different kinds of materials. SOLUTION: A cosmetic material 5 is prepared in which a cosmetic sheet 1 is bonded to a substrate 4 sandwiched between two adhesive layers 2 having not only adhesive properties but also hardening and shrinkage characteristics by ionizing radiation. At the time of disposal of the cosmetic material 5, it is irradiated by an ionizing radiation 7, and the adhesive is hardened and contracted such that at least any one of the adhesive ability between the cosmetic sheet 1 and the two adhesive layers or between the two adhesive layers 2 and the substrate 5 is made to be reduced or lost, enabling to sort the cosmetic sheet 1 from the substrate 5. The method allows one to perform the separation of cosmetic materials composed of different kinds which have once been discarded, leading to an effective use of resources without wasting them.
