PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial wall being the artificial wall which can be utilized for training of climbing and a playing tool of children by fitting it on a wall face of a building, etc., and can be utilized for both wall decoration material and a climbing playing tool in such a way that a plurality of panel members on the surface of which uneven picture patterns, etc., as holds are applied constitute different picture patterns by changing their arrangements. SOLUTION: The artificial wall in which a plurality of the panel members on the surface of which a group of picture patterns consisting of uneven picture patterns and line drawings functioning as holds for climbing are applied are arranged up and down and left and right is provided and a continuous picture pattern is constituted on the whole surface of the artificial wall by combining the same or different kinds of picture patterns applied on the panel members and the whole picture pattern constitutes a continuous picture pattern being different from the previous picture pattern by changing arrangement, direction, color or the like. Of the panel members or replacing the panel members with panel members on which different picture patterns are applied selected from the group consisting of the picture patterns. It may be possible that an end part of the picture patterns is constituted of a predetermined position, height or shape on the peripheral edge such as a central part of a side or a corner part of the panel member and a hold constituting a part of the picture pattern is made to be replaceable with the panel member.
