A battery terminal comprises a contact 2, a torsional biassing part, for example torsion beam 4, and a support 3. The contact may be looped and the contact part 7 of the poop may extend through the wall of a battery compartment (figure 2). The support 3 may form a solder contact and extend outside the battery-holding compartment. A battery in a battery compartment may be biassed onto the contact by a separate spring located between the compartment wall and an end of the battery remote from its contacts (figure 3, not shown). |
