METHOD FOR PRODUCING PYRROLE COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaction for enzymatically immobilizing carbon dioxide onto a pyrrole compound. SOLUTION: This reaction is the carboxylation of a pyrrole compound which is carried out by making an enzymatically active substance having the decarboxylase activity on the pyrrole compound act on the pyrrole compound in a subcritical or supercritical carbon dioxide atmosphere. Use of the above atmosphere can easily attain the yield of the objective compound as high as tenfold or greater compared to the case of carrying out in the atmospheric pressure. Thus, the objective pyrrole compound useful as a raw material for pharmaceuticals including antiviral agents, anticancer agents and hypotensives can be obtained enzymatically in high yield.
