PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retractable armrest which is prevented from forward jumping out of the main body and rattling and suppressed in increasing the number of parts. SOLUTION: This retractable armrest is equipped with a support member 4, an armrest main body 2 pivotally and oscillatably supported by the support member 4, a stopper part 4d projected from the support member 4, a lock member 7 which is pivotally supported and engageable with the stopper part 4d by the armrest main body 2 and engaged with the stopper part 4d to suppress the armrest main body 2 from leaning forward, and a spring member 5 which connects the lock member 7 and the stopper part 4d and gives the lock member 7 energizing force using elastic deformation. Thus the spring member 5 can give energizing force to oscillate the lock member 7 toward the stopper 4d side to the lock member 7 and also can give energizing force to the armrest main body 2 via the lock member 7.
