A DC/DC converter for an electronic equipment, e.g., a self-luminous display apparatus, includes a plurality of choke coils connected in parallel to each other to a DC power supply, a control circuit for controlling the ON/OFF operation of a switching element to control an output voltage of the DC/DC converter, and a changeover switch for selectively changing over the choke coils such that only one of the choke coils which has an inductance value corresponding to the output current of the DC/DC converter is effectively connected to the rectifying diode.
