The present invention relates to a novel zinc magnesium titanate represented by formula (I): Zn2-xMgx.yTiO4 in which x denotes a real number of 0.5 to 1.5; and y denotes an integer of 1 or 2, and to a process for preparing the same and a thermoregulating functional composition which comprises zinc magnesium titanate of formula (I).
