o the fluid slag which derives from the electric durnace for iron nickel production from laterities that has a temperature of 1380-1520 degrees Celsius, at first, a metal M or iron alloy thereof, FeM is added selectively, for the reduction of the Nickel oxide and, simultaneously, carbon monoxide is blown for the reduction of part of the iron oxide contained in the slag.
