PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to improve luminescence efficiency and brightness of the panel by raising transmission ratio of visible light that transmits a top substrate. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a top plate and a bottom plate. The top plate includes only a top substrate(40). The bottom plate includes a bottom substrate(32), a gird partition(34) and electrodes(36a,36b,38a,38b) inside the grid partition(34). A dielectric layer(33) is formed between the bottom substrate(32) and the grid partition(34). The electrodes(36a,36b,38a,38b) include a first electrode pair(36a,36b) formed parallel to the vertical partition(34) and a second electrode pair(38a,38b) formed parallel to the horizontal partition(34). The first electrode pair(36a,36b) are orthogonal to the second electrode pair(38a,38b). The electrodes(36a,36b,38a,38b) occur discharge depending on a direct current, an alternating current, or a radio frequency signal.
