摘要 PURPOSE: A method for monitoring an OAM(Operation Administration and Maintenance) using a GUI(Graphic User Interface) in an OAMF(OAM Function) block is provided to accurately grasp a fault generation location by sensing a line state between a subscriber board and trunk board, and a subscriber line and neighboring switch and monitoring a fault generation result as a graphic type through a graphic window in an operator terminal when fault is generated. CONSTITUTION: An OMGF(OAM Monitoring GUI Function block) receives slot location information about a line state between a subscriber board and trunk board, and a subscriber line and neighboring switch from an OAMF, and composes received slot location information as a graphic type(202). In the OMGF maintains a reception standby state, an ICM(Interface Controller Module) controls a plurality of subscribers and a plurality of neighboring switches, senses a line state among a subscriber board, the subscriber board and trunk line which interwork with the neighboring switches, and the subscriber line and neighboring switch, and transmits a generated fault generation message on the line to the OAMF in case that fault is generated on the line(204). The OAMF receives the fault generation message on the line provided from the ICM, waits during a random time, and judges whether the fault generation message on the line is continuously sensed(205). If the fault generation message on the line is continuously provided after the random time elapses, the OAMF provides the fault generation message on the line to a HANDF(HMI(Human-Machine Interface) Adaptation And Delivery Function block)(207). The HANDF provides the fault generation message on the line provided from the OAMF to an EC(Execution Control block) in an operator terminal(208). The EC provides the fault generation message on the line provided from the HANDF in an ATM switch to an OC(Output Control block)(209). The OC provides the fault generation message on the line provided from the ATM switch to the OMGF(210). The OMGF receives the fault generation message on the line provided from the OC, and judges whether the received fault generation message on the line is identical to a current state message stored in a memory(211). If the received fault generation message on the line is not identical to the current state message stored in the memory, the OMGF updates the received fault generation message on the line in the memory, and outputs a current fault generation location and a fault state as a graphic type through a window(213).
