PURPOSE: To enable recording of uniform density and to prevent the leakage of ink by arranging an auxiliary electrode array for feeding a charged colorant component in ink to a flight start position on an auxiliary substrate. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary substrate 15 forming a parallel flat plate along with a head substrate 11 and forming ink supply passages along with the substrate 11 is arranged on' the surface having a main electrode array 12 arranged thereof of the silicon substrate 11. An auxiliary electrode array 16 consisting of a plurality of stripe like electrodes crossing the main electrode array 12 at a right angle is arranged on the inner surface of the auxiliary substrate 15, that is, the surface opposed to the head substrate 11 thereof and the auxiliary electrode driver circuit 17 for driving the auxiliary electrode array 16 is also arranged thereon. The charged colorant component in ink is fed toward a flight start position by the auxiliary electrode array to be uniformly fed to a colorant flight point. |
