RECEIVING DEVICE FOR OFDM SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A receiving device for an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system is provided to cancel a guard tone from chip data outputted from an FFT(Fast Fourier Transform), cancel an impulsive noise from a residual valid carrier, and estimate a frequency offset. CONSTITUTION: An adder(160) receives a certain frequency correction signal, compensates a frequency offset of an OFDM signal converted into a digital signal, and outputs the compensated OFDM signal. A reception signal converting unit(140) cancels a guard tone of a training symbol, calculates a mean value of the signal in which the guard tone is cancelled, and excepts a sub-carrier which deviates from the mean value. A frequency offset estimating unit(150) estimates a frequency offset in an approximate and minute sequence using the signal outputted from the reception signal converting unit(140), and outputs the frequency correction signal about the estimated frequency offset.
