<p>An ester of a phosphoric acid with an aromatic polyhydroxy compound is transesterified, reaction being effected at a transesterification temp. below the thermal degradation temp. of one of the reactive compounds. The resin so-obtained may then be hardened e.g. with the aid of a formaldehyde donor. The resins may be used as casting or moulding cpds. in manufacture of brake linings, and as binders for other heat-resistant resins.</p> |
