PURPOSE: A thermo formable acoustical panel is provided which allow to be formed from multi-component polymer fibers or mono-filament polymer fibers dispersed in a mineral fiber batt. CONSTITUTION: The acoustical panel comprises multi-component polymer fibers(6), each of the polymer fibers having a sheath layer(2) substantially surrounding an inner core(4), the sheath layer comprising a first polymer having a melting point lower than a melting point of a second polymer comprising the inner core, and a material selected from the group selected from mineral wool, fiberglass, cellulosic material and combinations thereof.
