PURPOSE: A drainage device of a cowl box for a vehicle is provided to flow much air into an indoor air inlet by preventing exhaust of indoor air through a drain hole. CONSTITUTION: A drainage device of a cowl box for a vehicle includes a cowl box(10); a moving plate(20); an operating unit(30); a water sensor(40) and a control unit(50). The cowl box has an air inlet hole to an upper portion. The indoor air inlet(12) is formed to one side of the cowl box. A drain hole(13) is formed to a floor of the cowl box. The moving plate is installed to a lower surface of the cowl box to block the drain hole. A through hole is formed to one side of the moving plate corresponding to the drain hole. The moving plate is moved by the operating unit to correspond to the drain hole. The water sensor senses water by being installed to one side of the cowl box. The control unit controls the operating unit by a signal of the water sensor. Thereby, the drain hole is closed normally and opened selectively when water flows in a cowl panel.
