Imitation velvet - of knitted fabric having a flocked pile - and secured to a foamed plastic sheet

Synthetic fibres, e.g. 3 den. polyamide fibres, and flocked onto the surface of pref. chain knit fabric which is coated with an adhesive, and a sheet of foamed plastic pref. polyurethane is secured to the reverse side of the fabric. The material is used in upholstering or as a wall covering and is rip resistant.
