PURPOSE: A mirror function device used for video communication is provided to supply a mirror function capable of reversing a desirous screen only, thereby preventing a substantial screen from being reversed. CONSTITUTION: A self screen input unit(12) captures video data to transmit the data to the first input buffer(13). The first input buffer temporarily stores the video data. The first write DMA(Direct Memory Access) transmits the read video data to a video memory controller(26). The video memory controller generates signals necessary for being stored in a memory, and outputs the signals. A decoder(15) restores the other party's screen, and transmits the screen to the second input buffer. The second input buffer temporarily stores the restored video data. The second write DMA(17) calculates an address of the video data, and transmits the data to the video memory controller. The first read DMA(18) calculates an address of an area storing a self screen, and transmits the data to the video memory controller, then transmits video data of the self screen to the first output buffer(19). The first output buffer temporarily stores the video data. A self screen output unit(20) outputs the read video data to a display. The second read DMA(21) transmits video data of the other party's video data to the second output buffer(22). The other party's screen output unit(23) outputs the read video data to the display. A mirror function signal controller(24) controls a mirror function of the screen specified by a user.
