The invention relates to a cable connection box comprising: a) at least two parts of housing (3) which form a cavity (15) for containing a sealing material (5) when put together in use, one or more cables extending in the connection box through this cavity (15); b) said sealing material (5) being contained in the cavity (15) when the two housing parts (3) are put together and which make the sealing between the cable or cables and the housing part or parts (3); and c) at least one resilient element (7) which is contained in the cavity (15) in use, so that putting the housing parts (3) together in use determines the compressing of the element or each resilient element (7) thereby determining the element or each resilient element (7) to exert, by its elasticity, a compressing force upon the sealing material (5), characterized in that it further comprises one or more elongate sealing elements (23) which, in use seal between the faces of the opposing edges (25) of the housing parts (3) and which, for achieving the sealing, contact the sealing material (5) from the cavity (12).
