PURPOSE: A solenoid valve for a brake system is provided to reduce the size of a modulator block in which a solenoid valve is mounted by reducing the volume of a valve. CONSTITUTION: A solenoid valve for a brake system has a valve housing(30) including a hollow core portion(31) and an orifice(33) communicating with hydraulic lines(22,23) of the brake system. When the solenoid valve is installed in a modulator block(20), the valve housing in which a sleeve(34), an armature(35) and a valve core(36) are combined is put into a valve coupling hole(21) and interferingly fitted. Since the inner face of the valve coupling hole is made of aluminum, the outer face of the valve housing is kept tight.
