ADJUSTABLE JOINT AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING O-RING THEREIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely seal an adjustable joint with a low cost means. SOLUTION: A recessed O-ring groove 3 forming an O-ring inserting part of the adjustable joint is separated into a joint 2 including one projecting ring part 4 and a press-fitting part 5 including another projection ring part 6. The press-fitting part 5 is press-fitted in the joint 2 after installing an O-ring 7 in the joint side 2 to retain the O-ring 7. Consequently, a sure fluid seal is provided by a low cost means and sealing quality is improved by prevention of leak at a seal part.
