PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily manufacture and provide a highly reliable substrate mounting type impedance element at a low cost, which exert a noise-restraining function even in a high frequency band region and releases enough solder strength in substrate mounting at high impedance. SOLUTION: A terminal 12 is formed in both ends of a substrate mounting type impedance element. A conductor layer 11 is formed so that the maximum height of an edge face vertical to the direction of magnetic field from a mounting surface is 70% or less. A conductor layer 11 is not provided to two side surfaces and to the upper surface of the terminal 12 or at least a part of the conductor layer 11 is formed to cut off conductivity in the go-around direction.
