PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control system that can control not only home electric appliances but also devices in a public place. SOLUTION: In a remote control system including an operation object device, a remote controller for controlling the operation object device and a remote control device, the remote control device detects the remote controller, interprets and carries out a program received from the detected remote controller, the remote controller determines communication propriety with the remote control device depending on a communication request from the remote control device, transmits the program to control the operation object device corresponding to the remote controller to the remote control device and the remote control device carries out the program to control the operation object device in response to data sent from the remote control device.
