PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight capable of lowering the maintenance voltage by shortening the length of a light emitting lamp, and enabling to obtain a large display surface with uniform luminance. SOLUTION: The backlight comprises a first case having first supporting parts at both end parts and a second supporting parts at central part, and a plurality of lamps having electrodes at both external end parts of a tube, supported by the first and the second supporting parts. The light emitting lamps are alternately arranged at the left side and the right side of the second supporting part. |
