<p>The fabric, which is used for dish-cloths, wipers etc., comprises an absorbant layer of org. cellulosic fibres containing a thermoplastic powder (e.g. polyvinyl acetate) sandwiched between synthetic or semisynthetic fibrous layers containing less than 50% by weight of vulcanised adhesive. Pref. suspensions of the fibres are deposited simultaneously on an inclined screen, and the liquid removed by suction. Subsequently the layers are secured together by fusing the thermoplastic powder.</p> |
