The coated abrasive having engineered surface contains several shaped abrasive structures adhered to a backing material. The abrasive structures contain a cured formulation comprising 58-75 volume% of an acrylate based binder resin in which abrasive particles are uniformly dispersed. The cured formulation contains polymer filler or a mineral filler. An Independent claim is also included for a process for grinding a surface.
