PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely attachably/detachably install an exclusive tool (a connection release tool) by which a connection member to fix a cover member for closing an aperture to the aperture is removed at the time of using the aperture to an image forming apparatus itself and to use the exclusive tool also as a part provided with the other function in a state where the exclusive tool is installed in the equipment main body of the image forming apparatus or the like provided with the aperture through which optional equipment is connected to a part of an outer case cover. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus is provided with an opening/ closing door 3 by which a part of the outer case cover 2 of an image forming device main body is freely opened and closed, the aperture 4 for attaching an extension device provided to the outer case cover, the cover member 5 for closing the aperture and several connection members 6 to fix the cover member to the aperture, and tool attaching parts 25 and 26 to freely attachably/ detachably attach the connection release tools 20 and 21 equipped with an engaging part that matches the outside shape of the connection members and to release connection with the connection members by the engaging part inside the opening/closing door. |
