PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber coupler packaged in a manner so as to resist against bending or breaking. SOLUTION: The optical fiber coupler is constituted of a long and narrow coupler body that has at least one waveguide passage formed in one or more glass structures, and a rigid housing that is in intimate contact with at least a part of the coupler; the housing is firmly and solidly bonded to the coupler. |
