PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direction changing device of work capable of precisely changing the direction of a work having directivity such as resin mold type semiconductor device to any direction. SOLUTION: Opening and closing levers 9a and 9b are mounted on a rotating shaft 5 driven by a drive motor 3, and claws 13a and 14b and cam followers 14a and 14b are mounted on the opening and closing levers 9a and 9b. This device comprises a cam support body 15 having cams 16a and 16b with which the cam followers 14a and 14b make contact. The claws 13a and 13b are laid in an opened state to supply the work W, the claws 13a and 13b are laid in a closed state by the rotating operation of the rotating shaft 5, the direction of the work W is changed by the rotating operation of the rotating shaft 5 by a prescribed angle, and the claws 13a and 13b are laid in the open state by the further rotation of the rotating shaft 5 by a prescribed angle to release the work W.
