PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a difference in fixing performance between image formation modes in a 1D system image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: In the structure in which a fixing NIP width can be changed, adjustment is made so that (a) when the multiple mode is used, the NIP width is set wide and (b) when the monochrome mode is used, the NIP width is set narrow. |
