<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lithium nickel manganese multiple oxide which can be used for a lithium secondary cell excellent in the discharge capacity with a large current and having high volume energy density. SOLUTION: The lithium nickel manganese multiple oxide is expressed by the formula (1): LiXNiYMnZQ(1- Y- Z) O2 and has <=3.5 m<2> /g specific surface area and 1.4 to 2.8 g/cm<3> packing density of the powder. In the formula (1), X represents a number in the range of 0<X<=1.2, Y and Z satisfy the relations of 1<=Y/Z<=9 and 0<(1-Y-Z)<=0.5, and Q represents at least one kind selected from Co, Al, Fe, Mg, Ga, Ti and Ca.</p> |
