<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve air conditioning capacity without causing an increase in cost in an air conditioner. SOLUTION: In an air conditioner with a heat exchanger unit 10 arranged outside a fan 6 that is arranged in a casing 1 and a drain pan 8 arranged on the lower end side of the heat exchanger unit 10, the underside 8d of the drain pan 8 is extended to the lower side than the lower end 1c of the casing 1 and fixed to the casing 1. In such constitution, the drain pan 8 is effectively utilized as a part of the casing 1, and the height of the heat exchanger unit 10 is increased to enhance the heat exchange capacity without changing the height of the casing 1. Namely, an improvement in the heat exchange capacity of the unit 10 is realized without causing an increase in cost. Thereby both of an improvement in the air conditioning capacity as the air conditioner and a reduction in cost are achieved.</p> |
