PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position measuring device capable of positioning even when the number of satellites necessary for positioning by GPS cannot be ensured. SOLUTION: A position measuring device according to the first embodiment of this invention measures a position by determining the moving distance from the nearest position, for example, on the basis of the three-dimensional acceleration determined by a three-dimensional acceleration sensor when the number necessary for positioning of satellites cannot be captured. A position measuring device according to the second embodiment of this invention measures the position by determining the moving distance form the nearest position, for example, on the basis of the three-dimensional acceleration detected by the three-dimensional acceleration sensor when the number necessary for positioning of satellites cannot be captured (particularly, when no satellite necessary for positioning can be captured), and further determining the moving distance from the nearest position, for example, on the basis of the three-dimensional angular velocity detected by a three-dimensional gyro.
