PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller with a cage in which an inside holding projection part for preventing the falling-off of a roller is easily formed by chamfering processing, and which is lightweight and has a large load capacity in a severe condition of high speed revolution of an engine. SOLUTION: The roller with a cage has a column part 4 formed by thick- walled parts 5 and a thin-walled part 6 where a recessed groove 19 is formed, the column part 4 having outside holding projection parts 11 on its outer peripheral side and inside holding projection parts 7 on its inner peripheral side for holding the roller 2 within a pocket 8. The inside holding projection part 7 is formed to project in a circumferential direction at a corner part 12 on the recessed groove 19 side of the thick-walled part 5. The inside holding projection part 7 is also formed so as to extend to the pocket 8 from the inner peripheral surface 9 of the thick-walled part 5 by plastically deforming the corner 12 of the thick-walled part 5 in the circumferential direction.
