PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weft terminal holder that can properly retain the weft tension with a simple structure and can increase the quality of the woven fabric. SOLUTION: The weft terminal holder is equipped with a capturing arm 16 that is set to the machine frame 12 on the opposite side of the weft-inserting side and reciprocates between the holding position and the not-holding position of the weft 14, a driving unit 30 that allows the capturing arm 16 to reciprocate, and a projection 22 that is projected on the weft-flying side of the reed and comes into connection to the terminal of the inserted weft. Further, the weft guides 40, 42 are provided on the extension part 38 that is formed on the capturing arm 16 at which the weft terminal 14a is contact-held, and extends in the reciprocation direction and on the parts connecting to the extension part 38 and the projection 22 so that the weft terminal is bent by contacting with the guides. The guide 40 is equipped with a means for varying the amount of bending that can vary the amount of the bending of the weft terminal 14a in the reed 18 moving direction relative to the weft guide 42 of the projection 22.
