The invention relates to a plant for the dewatering of sludge comprising a container (4) having at least one drainage unit (11) for the separation of liquid from raw sludge, as well as a bottom valve (10) for the emptying of thickened sludge from the container, a duct (13) being connected to the drainage unit (11) for the drawing off of separated reject liquid from the drainage unit. The plant comprises a plurality of co-operating containers (2, 3, 4) and a feed duct (5) being common to the same and having individual valves (18) for batch-wise tapping of raw sludge in the various containers. The bottom valves (10) of the containers cooperate with a common collecting duct (20) in the form of a flute through which a substantially continuous flow of thick sludge can be fed out from the plant. Furthermore, the reject liquid-evacuation ducts (13) are connected to a common main duct (19). Furthermore, the invention relates to an operation method by means of which a continuous flow of thick sludge from the plant is provided. |
