PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance service system capable of deciding a proper maintenance time on the basis of an operating state of a user so as to enhance the availability to the user. SOLUTION: Receiving a jam notice from a composite machine, a server updates history information of paper jamming stored in an area of a corresponding composite machine number in a storage section. When the server receives a copy or print number notice, the server updates the history information denoting a copy or print number stored in the area of the corresponding composite machine of the storage section. When the server receives dirt detection information, the server rewrites dirt information due to toner scattering stored in the area of the corresponding composite machine of the storage section. Then the server analyzes propriety of the maintenance of the corresponding composite machine and the maintenance contents on the basis of various history information stored in the storage section and informs the user about the maintenance contents of the corresponding composite machine by means of a display device and a printer when the maintenance is found to be necessary.
