PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize thinning of an electron beam device while restraining abnormal discharge and suppressing cost hike of an electric grounding structure. SOLUTION: The electron beam device is provided with a rear plate 1 forming electron emitting elements, a face plate 11 arrange opposite to the rear plate 1 with phosphor illuminating with electron beam irradiation from the electron emitting elements and an electrode accelerating the electron beams by applying voltage, a frame 4 pinched by and linked to the rear plate 1 and the face plate 11 and making up a part of a vacuum vessel together with the rear plate 1 and the face plate 11, a voltage lead-in part leading in voltage from a voltage source, and a wiring 105 formed by surrounding a high-voltage part in the vacuum vessel and electrically independent of the voltage lead-in part. A resistive film is fitted between the high-voltage lead-in part and the independent wiring. Further, the wiring 105 is formed inside and outside of the vacuum vessel and is grounded.
