PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc brake rotor coated with a rust preventive film to display a sufficient rust preventive effect at the time of not using a vehicle, to be peeled at an early stage at the time of using the vehicle and not to exert an influence on a friction characteristic and a bad influence on an environment. SOLUTION: A poly-lactic acid system resin layer is formed at least on a friction surface of a surface of the disc brake rotor free to rotate and having the friction surface on which a brake pad is pressed on.
