PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medicine (especially, an antifungal agent) comprising a zofimarin derivative represented by formula (I) having an excellent antifungal activity as an active ingredient, and to provide a method for producing the derivative represented by formula (I). SOLUTION: This medicine comprises the zofimarin derivative represented by formula (I) [wherein, X denotes formyl group or cyano group; A denotes a group represented by the formula -CH=N-O-R<a> , -CH2 -S(=O)g -R<b> or -CH2 -O-N= CR<c> R<d> ; (g) denotes 0, 1 or 2; and R<a> , R<b> , R<c> and R<d> are each the same or different and denote each hydrogen atom or a 1-18C alkyl, a 3-12C cycloalkyl, a 3-18C cycloalkylalkyl, a 6-12C aryl, a 7-20C aralkyl, a heterocyclyl, a haterocyclylalkyl, a heteroaryl, a heteroaralkyl group, or the like, all of which may be substituted] or its pharmacologically acceptable ester or a salt thereof as an active ingredient.
