PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for indicating a pedestrian signal are provided to indicate the remaining time of the pedestrian signal by improving a pedestrian signal indication function. CONSTITUTION: A signal controller(10) is used for outputting a pedestrian signal. A buffer portion(20) is used for storing temporarily the pedestrian signal outputted from the signal controller(10). A micro computer(30) is used for selecting an operating mode according to a turning-on time and a turning-off time of the pedestrian signal received from the buffer portion(20) and outputting the pedestrian signal according to a selected operating mode. A ROM(40) is used for storing necessary programs. A RAM(50) is used for storing data measured by the micro computer(30). A signal driving portion(60) outputs a driving signal for driving a signal lamp according to the pedestrian signal. A signal indication portion(70) indicates the pedestrian signal according to the driving signal.
