PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-quality image free from peeling blister even in the case of using a recording medium having high air permeability such as double- sided coated paper for printing in a transfer and fixing simultaneous type image forming apparatus using an image carrier belt, and a fixing device using a fixing belt. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus equipped with an image carrier, a heating means and a pressure means for pressuring is equipped with a recording medium supporting body moving in the same direction as the image carrier while supporting the recording medium superposed on the image carrier in the moving direction of the image carrier from a pressuring position where the recording medium and the image carrier are pressured by the pressure means to a peeling position where the recording medium is peeled from the image carrier, and a pressing tight-contact means for bringing the recording medium into tight-contact with the image carrier by holding and pressing the recording medium supporting body and the image carrier at a position on the way where the recording medium moves in a state where it is supported by the recording medium supporting body. |
