PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel with low reactive power. SOLUTION: A front board and a back board are arranged in opposition so as to form discharge space in between, which is divided into a plurality of zones by a plurality of partition walls 12. A discharge electrode pair consisting of a sustaining electrode 15 and a scanning electrode 16 is formed on the front board in the direction vertical to the partition walls 12. The sustaining electrode 15 and the scanning electrode 16 each comprises a transparent electrode 14 and a bus electrode 9 and are provided with a rectangular concave part 17 with interval opposing the position crossing the partition wall 12 wider. Provided the width of the partition wall 12 is Ws , each width of the sustaining electrode 15 and the scanning electrode 16 Ds , the width of the concave part 17 W, the depth of the concave part D, and the width of the bus electrode Db , W/Ws <=6, and D<=Ds -Db .
