PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for measuring and correcting all elements defining an image in real time, using a retro-fittable sensor not covering a wide range of a panel. SOLUTION: The system is provided with a display (1), including an active display area (6) for displaying an image, an image former (2) and an electronic drive system (4) for driving the image former (2); an optical sensor unit (10) including an optical opening (21) and an optical sensor (22) for optically measuring an optical output from a representative portion of the active region (6) of the image former (2) and for generating optical measuring signal (11) therefrom; and a feedback system (12) for receiving the optical measuring signal (11) and controlling the drive system (4), based thereon.
