PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method for a liquid crystal display device capable of preventing competition between a driving signal sent to a driving means from a display control means within a vertical fly-back period even when the vertical fly-back period fluctuates, and a driving signal sent to the driving means from the display control means within a display period of the following frame after the vertical fly-back period has been completed. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the driving method of the liquid crystal display device comprising a plurality of pixels, a plurality of signal lines for applying a gradation voltage to each of the pixels, and a driving means for outputting a gradation voltage to each of the signal lines, and assuming that a value obtained from dividing the vertical fly-back period by the normal horizontal scanning time and rounding up the digits beyond the decimal place is expressed as M, and N is an integer not less than 1, the gradation voltage is outputted two times or more and not more than (M-N) times to each of the signal lines from the driving means within the vertical fly-back period.
