PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for driving an electro-luminescence display device are provided to prevent an irregular phenomenon between cells or lines by compensating different threshold values of phosphors. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of pixels(120) are formed on intersection portions of a plurality of data lines and a plurality of scan lines of a display panel(60). An RG and a B scan driving portions(64,74) are used for driving the scan lines. An RG and a B data driving portions(62,72) are used for driving the data lines. The pixels(120) are turned on or off by data pulses and scan pulses from the RG and the B data driving portions(62,72) and the RG and the B scan driving portions(64,74). The pixels(120) have predetermined capacitance values, respectively. The R and the G data lines(D1rg to Dnrg) receive R and G data pulses from the RG data driving portion(62). The B data lines(D1b to Dnb) receive B data pulses from the B data driving portion(72). The R and G scan lines(S1rg to Smrg) receive R and G scan pulses from the RG scan driving portion(64). The B scan lines(S1b to Smb) receive the B scan pulses from the B scan driving portion(74).
