PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically identify a state with less power consumption, to control a transition to an energy saving state and to change setting of transition control corresponding to using conditions of a user. SOLUTION: On the basis of an energy saving state transition condition of the user (S15), an item corresponding to average time of a JOB arrival interval is selected (S16) from a correlation chart of energy saving state elapsed time (A: the power consumption required for the transition from the energy saving state to a standby state) and the standby state (B: the power consumption required for keeping the standby state without shifting to the energy saving state). The selected items A and B of the correlation chart are compared (S17). At the time of A>B (Yes), the average time of the JOB arrival interval and judgment reference time are compared (S18). At the time of the average time > the judgment reference time (Yes), the average time of the JOB arrival interval is set as energy saving state transition time (S19). When it is not the average time > the judgment reference time (No), a default value (one minute) is set for the energy saving state transition time. The state with less power consumption required for the transition to the energy saving state is automatically recognized and energy saving control for shifting to the state with less power consumption is performed. |
