PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device capable of lowering power consumed in a display panel in a case of selecting a partial scanning mode in a light- emitting display panel using organic EL elements. SOLUTION: In a case of selecting a partial scanning mode by a scanning mode change-over means, compared with the case that a normal scanning mode I selected, the driving device is controlled go that a ratio of a driving period (D3) for controlling the light-emitting elements to emit light to a reset period (R1) controlled by a reset control means is increased. Thus, a momentary gradation of a light-emitting element can be lowered by reducing a driving current or voltage further to be supplied to each light-emitting element. Therefore, it becomes possible to further reduce power consumption in the light-emitting display panel, and the light-emitting elements can also be prevented from deteriorating, and this can contribute to increasing the life. |
